Tiffany will protect the Social Security and Medicare benefits Arizonans have earned. She knows firsthand how important these benefits are because, growing up, Tiffany’s family relied on her father’s social security to make ends meet. Tiffany will work to protect and shore up the social security trust fund by implementing measures to eliminate waste and fraud and promote long-term growth by encouraging work, not penalizing it. Tiffany will oppose radical liberal policies like Medicare For All that would jeopardize Medicare benefits and increase costs.
Rural Arizona needs improved infrastructure in order to continue to attract businesses to the district. Tiffany will work with President Trump to build new infrastructure and fix the aging infrastructure that already exists. Arizona’s first district has so much to offer and with the proper infrastructure in place can have a flourishing economy.
Listening to and working with Arizona’s Native American tribes is personal to Tiffany. Tiffany’s husband and children are members of the Muskogee Creek Nation, which is why in Congress, she’ll be a tireless advocate for our tribes. Tiffany knows we need to secure more funding to clean up abandoned uranium mines on the Navajo Nation and will help get more access to clean and useable water on our reservations. Above all, Tiffany will respect tribal sovereignty and empower tribes to make local decisions.
Tiffany is a true advocate for education across Arizona. As a former bi-lingual kindergarten teacher and homeschool mother of three, Tiffany truly understands the issues facing rural Arizona schools. The lack of access to rural broadband across the district hinders students from gaining an education they deserve. Tiffany has stood in the shoes of teachers before and will always advocate for their students’ needs in Congress.
Tiffany Shedd lives and works on a farm in Pinal County, Arizona, 90 miles from the US-Mexico border. While that may seem quite a distance to a lot to politicians in Washington, DC, Tiffany and her neighbors regularly experience the consequences of the federal government’s failure to secure our border – as drug runners and illegal immigrants trespass on their land and commit crimes. The failure to secure the border is a national security and human rights disaster, which is why Tiffany will work tirelessly with President Trump to stop the flow of drugs and criminals into our state. This means supporting a border wall, enhanced technology, more boots on the ground, and better systems to monitor who is in our country.
They have borne the ultimate sacrifice for our nation, yet when they come home, too many of our veterans are neglected, left behind and, tragically, never welcomed back into society. Injuries, both physical and psychological, go untreated. In rural Arizona, we feel this neglect even more. Lack of local resources, long wait times, hours-long drives to VA facilities, and chronic mismanagement have many veterans feeling as though they have nowhere to turn. Tiffany believes this is unacceptable. She has a plan to introduce legislation that matches veterans with job opportunities that relate to their military training and match volunteers with veterans organizations to provide services such as grant writing and donations. Tiffany has already spoken with leaders in law enforcement, border patrol, and construction that have pledged support for this plan. Like President Trump, Tiffany is committed to going to bat for our veterans, and ensuring they receive the treatment, care, and opportunities they so desperately need and deserve.
To Tiffany Shedd the 2nd amendment is more than just a talking point. She has raised her children with a deep respect for firearms, safety, and self-defense. Tiffany is an avid shooter and firearms enthusiast. She and her husband established the Central Arizona Target Shooting Range to promote youth shooting sports. Tiffany is a 4-H certified youth pistol instructor, and a NRA certified youth shotgun instructor. The 2nd Amendment is non-negotiable. Tiffany will never cast a vote or take action that in any way infringes upon our 2nd Amendment rights.
Tiffany Shedd is the only candidate in AZ-01 to receive an A-rating from the NRA. Read the NRA’s full letter here.
Healthcare is a deeply personal issue for Tiffany. At the age of six, her oldest daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. She beat the odds and today is an energetic, fun, and smart young woman. This experience personalized the necessity of increasing access to affordable, quality healthcare for Tiffany, and is why she is committed to making sure Arizonans, particularly those in rural Arizona are able to get the care they need.
As the mother of a diabetic daughter, and a cancer survivor herself, Tiffany will protect coverage for those with pre-existing conditions and work to lower prescription drug prices for all Arizonans.
Working alongside President Trump, Tiffany will work to improve Medicare so seniors can focus on their health and not how to pay for their medical bills.
She will fight against liberals’ Medicare for all Plan that would be a devasting government takeover of Arizonans healthcare. Every Arizona deserves a patient centered and free-enterprise based system that allows families to make the choices that best fit their needs.
As a small business owner for over thirty years, Tiffany understands small businesses are the lifeblood of Arizona, and COVID has disproportionally affected many small businesses. She’ll work with President Trump to make our economy stronger than it was before.
Tiffany will cut red tape and unnecessary regulations that make it hard for businesses to grow. She understands this is particularly critical because farming, ranching, mining, and forestry are job creators of rural Arizona and are at the mercy of an out-of-control federal bureaucracy.
While Tom O’Halleran voted against a tax cut that is saving Arizona families over $1800 a year, Tiffany will work to lower taxes for Arizona families, so they can keep more of their hard earned money.
Tiffany will support our small businesses with tax cuts and loan programs so they have the necessary capital retain employees and cover expenses as they work to recover from the economic impact of the pandemic.
As a farmer who’s struggled against unfair Chinese trade practices for decades, Tiffany stands with President Trump’s efforts to bring back manufacturing jobs from overseas and supports his demands for fair trade agreements.
As a constitutional conservative Tiffany believes that we all must have the freedom to choose how we worship, how to educate our children, and the values that our families live by. As a homeschool mom, Tiffany makes sure that her kids are well versed in the Constitution and in the Christian roots on which our country was founded. Strongly pro-life, Tiffany will always stand up for all of those who are unable to fight for themselves.
Tiffany is proud to be endorsed by the Susan B. Anthony List and Center for Arizona Policy, the largest Pro-Life organizations in the country and Arizona, respectfully. They know her commitment to protecting life isn’t just words, and that she’ll proudly stand for life against Planned Parenthood’s 100% rated representative Tom O’Halleran.
