Meet Tiffany
Tiffany Shedd knows first-hand the crisis Arizonans are facing due to the failure to secure our southern border.
Tiffany and her family are regularly confronted with coyotes trafficking illegal immigrants and cartels smuggling drugs across their farm in Eloy. She’s running for congress to implement conservative solutions to the problems Arizonans face because liberal politicians in Washington, DC have repeatedly ignored them. She’ll start by working with President Trump to secure the southern border.
Issues
I’m running for Congress to fix the problems facing OUR communities. We’ve spilled our blood, sweat, and tears over this land for generations, but DC is neglecting us. I’ll stand with President Trump to secure the border and fight back against the dangerous socialist agenda that threatens our way of life.
New Tiffany Shedd's Initiatives Are Aimed at Fixing Community Problems
Tiffany Shedd is a candidate who cares about Arizona residents and their problems. As a mom who raised her children with respect to rural roots and Arizona values, she understands the challenges our community members face on a daily basis. Her down-to-earth nature helps her set realistic goals that correspond to current people's concerns and are aimed at solving burning issues. To better meet the major needs and expectations of our community, she presents five bold initiatives that address the most topical areas.
Veteran Support
Tiffany believes that upon returning home, many veterans are left to fend for themselves and face challenges when it comes to being accepted by society. Mrs. Shedd thinks that fixing these problems is just the least we can do for people who are sacrificing their lives for the good of our entire nation. Therefore, she focuses on practical ways to help veterans access services and medicine without hours-long drives and wait times.
She also advocates amendments to existing laws that will help veterans with employment and provide opportunities for getting financial assistance, such as grants and donations. This will help veterans access the services, means, and opportunities they need and deserve.
Affordable Health Care
Tiffany Shedd knows firsthand how difficult it is for people in America in general and in Arizona in particular to get affordable and qualified medical care. This is a personal issue for her, as her daughter Summer was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 12 years ago. This challenging experience has helped Tiffany understand the importance of providing families with access to quality care and medicine while making it affordable for them. That is why she stands for creating a patient-centered and free-enterprise-based system that will serve the needs of our community.
Strong Focus on Education
Education in Arizona is ranked 48th out of 51 states. This demonstrates a clear problem, points to the need to boost state funding, and makes Tiffany Shedd worried about the future well-being of our community. She believes that we need to focus on explaining to young people the importance of getting an education and show them how it correlates with their future financial well-being. However, we can't struggle alone, so Tiffany admits the need to attract additional financing in this area. This can be achieved by securing extra public funds, attracting licensed and certified K-12 teachers, and reducing classroom sizes. Also, Tiffany believes that we need to revise the budget to make it work for our community's needs and help vulnerable and underserved families.
Accessible Financing for Needy Households
The average cost of living in Arizona is $45,000 annually, while nearly 40% of jobs in the state come with an annual income between $27,600 and $43,000. Unfortunately, it may be difficult to bridge this gap for low-income individuals and households. This means that we need a practical solution to provide needy people with affordable financial assistance.
Additionally, needy families and individuals are sensitive to economic condition changes. This adds more stress to their daily lives as they are unsure of their future and feeling vulnerable. Therefore, Tiffany Shedd stands for creating new financial options that will provide residents who desperately need money with access to fast cash regardless of their credit backgrounds.
Agricultural Sector Support
Arizona agriculture remains a valuable economic driver but still faces various issues that need our attention and immediate action. First, it's water troubles in the southwest, forcing farmers to work diligently in order to use every drop of water efficiently. Additionally, Tiffany states that the laws and regulations on agriculture in Arizona are over burdensome. This results in poor management of the land and our natural resources and leads to massive wildfires and unhealthy watersheds.
Also, we need to pay special attention to the tax burden for farmers and ranchers. As President John F. Kennedy has said, "The farmer is the only man in our economy who buys everything at retail, sells everything at wholesale, and pays the freight both ways." Mrs. Shedd thinks that we need to focus on creating a favorable tax environment for farmers. This will drive our economy and encourage a strong agriculture industry.
